Setting Up Your Kithmatic Account
From signup to your first AI-answered call in under 10 minutes. A complete walkthrough of the Kithmatic onboarding process.

1. Create Your Account
Head to app.kithmatic.com and sign up with your email address. Kithmatic uses secure authentication - your credentials are protected from the start.
Once you are in, the onboarding wizard walks you through everything. The whole process takes about 5-7 minutes. Every field auto-saves, so if you need to step away, you can pick up right where you left off.
2. Tell Us About Your Business
Enter your name, phone number, and business name. Then select your industry and specialty from the dropdown - Kithmatic covers everything from plumbing and HVAC to salons, clinics, and law firms.
This is important: when you select your specialty, Kithmatic automatically loads service templates with typical pricing for your trade. A plumber gets different defaults than a hair stylist. This saves you time in the next step.
3. Set Your Business Hours
Toggle which days you are open and set your start and end times. The default is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM - adjust it to match your actual schedule.
One thing to note: these hours control when the AI books appointments. Emergency calls are always answered regardless of these settings. If someone calls at 2 AM with a burst pipe, Kithmatic will still pick up and alert you immediately.
4. Add Your Services
Based on your industry selection, Kithmatic pre-fills 3-5 common services with suggested pricing and durations. You can adjust the price, change the duration (from 15 minutes up to 4 hours), or add custom services that are unique to your business.
Each service can be toggled on or off for booking. If you offer a service but do not want the AI to book it directly, just toggle it off - the AI will take a message instead.
5. Choose Your Plan
Kithmatic offers three plans: Starter ($159/month, 500 AI minutes, 1 staff member, 1 location), Growth ($289/month, 1,000 AI minutes, 5 staff members, full analytics), and Pro ($549/month, 2,000 AI minutes, unlimited staff, 5 locations).
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial - no charge until the trial ends. Payment is handled securely through Stripe, and you can cancel anytime from your dashboard.
6. Go Live!
Once payment is set up, Kithmatic provisions a dedicated phone number for your business. You will see it on screen with a copy button and a “Test my number” option.
To activate, set up call forwarding on your existing phone. The setup page shows instructions for iPhone, Android, and major Canadian carriers (Rogers, Bell, Telus). For most phones, it is a single toggle in Settings.
That is it. Your AI receptionist is now live. Every call that comes in will be answered in under one second, appointments will be booked automatically, and you will get real-time notifications on your dashboard.
